    Lahari Paladugu

    PRESIDENT

Hi, I'm Lahari! I'm the President of the JCR. My job is to coordinate JCR meetings, deal with any queries that the undergraduates may have, liaison between the JCR and the college and their officers and do a lot of the background work with the JCR and ensuring the undergrads are happy. This includes taking the JCRs ideas and thoughts and issues to the higher ups in college and the principal. Some things that we've achieved is taking student concerns about food prices to college officers and getting the price reduced by 15%! A lot of my work is doing bits and bobs for every part of the JCR and supporting all my wonderful committee!

  • Sam Freeman

    Sam Freeman

    VP/ TREASURER

Hi, I’m Sam a second year PPE student and your JCR Vice-President/Treasurer. I’ll be responsible for sorting out the budget, allocating funding to all the different reps and paying out on motions. It’ll also be my job to fight rent disputes and other financial issues on behalf of the JCR. Finally it’s my job to make sure our accounts and the way we spend our money is as transparent as possible so any questions just ask!

  • Danny Kuhrt

    Danny Kuhrt

    SECRETARY

Hi! I’m Danny, a second year History student and your JCR Secretary. My role involves taking minutes at JCR meetings, receiving motions for the agenda, sending out weekly notices (which you should read!) and keeping the JCR room tidy. This should serve nicely in my mission to avoid writing my essays.

  • Joseph Holmes & Bea Osbourne

    MALE/NB & FEMALE/NB WELFARE REPS

Hey! We’re Joseph and Bea, the welfare reps! Our job is to look out for everyone’s well-being, and make sure everyone feels comfortable, listened to and supported. We run welfare tea (free food!) and welfare yoga every Sunday, and a weekly peer support drop-in at the nurse’s office if you ever wanna chat. We also provide welfare products, coordinate the peer support network, and can signpost you to whatever help you need! This includes academic, health, and all forms of personal issues, and being available for one on one support. Oxford can be stressful at times and so I’m more than happy to chat about anything worrying you, no matter how small or big.

Hopefully you’ll find Jesus as friendly and welcoming as we did :)

  • Alana James & Alexander Barnett

    SOCIAL SECRETARIES

Hi, We’re Alana and Barnett and we are the Social Secs for this term! Our job involves planning and putting on all of the JCR’s social events. These range from bizarre ‘bops’ and large black tie parties to more wholesome celebrations and relaxed evenings. Feel free to come and ask about anything whether you are confused about what’s on or if you would like to help add to the social calendar - we are hard to miss around college, especially with Alana’s accent!

  • Ben Drinkwater

    ENTZ REP

Hi, I'm Ben a second-year engineer and I'm your Entz rep for the coming year. I'll be giving out tickets (via the JCR Facebook) to make your club nights more accessible and slightly cheaper. I will also be helping the social secs where possible to keep the Jesus BOP and events scene thriving! So keep a lookout for those links I'll be sending out at the start of every week . Hope you all enjoy this coming year as much as I do!!

  • Bonnie Askins

    ACC REP

Hi! I’m Bonnie (she/her), a second year history student and your Accommodation, Catering and Conferences (ACC) rep! This means I communicate all of your concerns about accommodation and hall to the DACC. This year we are particularly focussed on trying to work out how subsidised hall food is and how we can make it better value. I also run the bar and will be putting on loads of fun events there. Let me know if you have any ideas, suggestions or concerns!

  • Diana Edwards

    CHARITIES REP

Hi! I’m Diana, a second year geographer and your charities rep for this year. I’m here to help promote and support charitable causes you care about and raise awareness within Jesus, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries/charitable efforts you want shared! I also organise charity events throughout the term to fundraise for our college’s charities of choice, look forward to things like casino night and sports day especially :) If you want to fundraise for a charity of your own choice I’m happy to help out, just let me know!

  • Ayse Gorbon & Hannah Tyler

    ENVIRONMENT & ETHICS REPS

Hi, we are Ayşe (she/ her, 2nd year biology) and Hannah (she/ her, 2nd year geography), and we are your current JCR E&E reps! This means we are responsible for making sure that as a college, we are doing our best to be as sustainable and ethical as possible. We raise your concerns about environmental and social matters to college and make sure your voices are heard. Please let us know if you would like to get involved with E&E, we hope to have regular meetings and fun events so that everyone can get involved!

  • Shental Rohan

    ACADEMIC AFFAIRS REP

Hi! I'm Shental, a second year lawyer, and your academic affairs rep for this year! You'll get emails from me about things academic related i.e. career fairs, and feel free to email me if you would like certain help or resources, and I can point you to the right sources. I'm also the person to bring any academic concerns to, as I represent the JCR on the academic committee which deals with matters from library policy to book grants to rustication.

  • Why can I not find any good photos of me sober :\

    Jack Harris

    IT Rep

Hi! I’m Jack (he/him), a second year computer scientist, and I’m your IT Rep for this year. That means I’m the person to go to if you’re having trouble with IT (usually this is related to either printing or eduroam), and I’m also in charge of this website! I’d much rather help you with whatever IT problem you’re having than battle through yet another problem sheet, so please give me a shout if you need anything! I can usually be found in the Lower Meyricke, slowly losing what’s left of my sanity.

Since I wrote this last I have also purchased a Wii for the JCR, so come to me for anything involving that!

  • Luca Rabaiotti
