Hi, I'm Eito and I'm a second year Computer Science student. In your first year, you take 10 modules, resulting in four papers for your 'prelims' examination at trinity term. These are core courses, with tutorials given in college, in groups of 2-3. From second year to third year, you can choose 10 optional courses, on top of the 4 core courses in second year. The teaching for these is given to you in classes of size 10 with the department, while the core courses are taught in college. You are examined on the core courses in second year, and the 10 options exams in third year. On top of these, you take part in a group practical project in second year, and a project report in third year. Computer Science is an incredibly flexible course, allowing you to go as theoretical or as practical as you would like, to a balance of your choosing.
