Message from a Student

Hi, I’m Anna, a second year biologist at Jesus. My year was the first to start with the new course so a few things have been modified and they have now added an optional fourth year giving you the option of an integrated masters (given you obtain a 2.i or higher in your FHS exams). In the first year there are three modules, all of which have accompanying labs, discussion classes and computer sessions. These are assessed at the end of the year by three papers: an essay paper, lab skills paper and lecture material based multiple choice paper. In trinity term you also have a residential field trip to wales lasting a week. In your second and third years you get more choice, being given the option to choose 3 out of 4 themes (with the third year modules continuing on from the second year ones) which are assessed at the end of each year.
